Brinsley Solommon (Founder/Owner)

 

" From a very young age I've always had that creative spark and always known I had wanted to go into the design industry in one way or form. I had always being interested in designing and making things. It wasn't until I was in Secondary School that I was able to let out my creative side more when I was able to study Graphic Design, I had always wanted to do this from a younger age. Graphic Design became my favourite subject and I began to work on a project where I created my own game. I became so absorbed within this project, I had a full synopsis, all the characters designed and began designing promotional objects such as limited edition cases, posters, trailers etc. This subject really helped me advance my skills in Graphic Design and is the reason I am so passionate about the design industry now.

 

During College I studied A levels to further develop my skills in this creative practice. I studied Graphic Design, Art, Product Design. They all complemented one another really well and I could use knowedge gained in one and apply it to another. This really helped me to develop as a designer. For example the Media aspect helped me within Product design as a way of promoting my products and the Graphic Design further helped this.

 

I then went on to study Games Design as Sheffield Hallam University. Sticking to my creative roots, I excelled in developing 3d environments for games and animation and combining this with Photoshop to create Promotional Media to further make my work stand out. After graduating univeristy and a lot of thinking, I finally decided that I should utilise all this knowledge of different design methods and combine this into the business I have done and offer my services to those that require them.
